Since its official opening in January 2008, the £1 million community project has hosted an array of activities and seen many people getting involved with church life.
The Methodist people have a long tradition and history in this part of the Potteries. The congregations had three buildings that housed many memories, which they held dear, but they were willing to let them go in order to build a new church that could serve the community.
The new church, in Pickford Place, has purpose built rooms for community activities with foldaway walls, improved catering and toilet facilities and is fully wheelchair accessible.
The congregation's view: "It's a purpose built facility that's meant to be more than a church; we realised our work was to reach the community."
We run a mother and toddler group, Broadway Busy Bees. The group meets every Thursday during term times.
Young at Heart meets every Tuesday at 2pm to play games, drink coffee and tea and relax together. It is intended for pensioners - all would find a welcome!
We are serving a hot lunch every Wednesday between 12 and 1.
The church also runs two womens' groups on Wednesdays at 2:30pm and 7:30pm, Boys Brigade, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows.
